Y'all....Listen up...listening? Good. I farted. JK JK!! I don't really know what that is all about, but it broke the ice and now I am typing.
We all know that it was one of my 2013 goals to run a half marathon with this hot mama, but I didn't really have a plan of attack. I have also been asked by 2 different friends to run a leg of the Memorial Marathon in April. I said yes to both, because I am crazy, but now I feel like I should be training for that, which will in turn help me with the half training. Now, I have been getting on Bertha and running, but I never have a plan when I go out there. I just jump on, run until I start sucking air real hard, about 30 sec in, and then jump off and call it a day. And we all know that I did the Couch to 5k program last summer, so I thought I would try a Couch to 10k, kinda. I found an app called "Run10k" It is fool proof. It tells you what you are going to do, you hit start it keeps track of everything, even tells you when AND how to stretch, and then when you are running or walking it tells you to switch. It is really nice. Especially when I get on my treadmill and turn the TV on, I can just prop my phone on the machine and go. It is a 3 day a week, 13 week, program, so I started it on Sunday, that way I can run Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and then hopefully do Jill on Monday and Wednesday, leaving date night Friday open, and where I don't feel bad for not doing anything.
Sundays workout:
Week 1:Day 1
5 minute warm-up
Run 30 seconds, walk 4:30 minutes, 7 times. (Total time 40ish minutes. How do you get an "ish" time? Because I stopped the cool down early to do the stretches, thats how.)
Completed it going a total of 2.58 miles.
I also jacked the treadmill's incline up to 2% so that I had some resistance.
Today's workout:
Week 1:Day 2
5 minute warm-up
Run 30 seconds, walk 4:30 minutes, 8 times.
After I do that I am cooking Parmesan Crusted Chicken!!! This a staple at my house. It is VERY easy to make with few ingredients, I am not going to say it is super healthy, BUT it is better then eating McDonalds. So heres the recipe:
Chicken breasts (We use 2 because there are 2 of us)
Grated Parmesan Cheese
Real Mayonnaise (Don't use Miracle Whip, you can ask this chicka about doing that. You can be healthy and use the Olive Oil kind, but this is the only meal I splurge and use the real stuff, it helps the chicken be super moist)
Bread Crumbs
Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Mix the mayo and cheese together in a bowl (I know there are no measurements, I don't use them any more. You want enough mayo that it will cover the top of the chicken without being too thick or thin. And cheese, if you like a lot put a lot, if you like a little put a little.) Then spread the mixture over the chicken breasts. Sprinkle the Bread Crumbs on the top. Bake for 20ish minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
We serve ours with Veggies, or Rice, or by itself. It goes with EVERYTHING!! Enjoy!
Well that is all I got on today's edition of Chillin With Mrs. Dillon until next time, "be kind to one another" (<-- Thanks Ellen!)

Exercise, What?!?
What up guys?!?! I am slowly getting back into the blogging spirit and look at me now, blogging on Tuesday and not Friday morning! Really I am blogging tonight because I had an awesome run this afternoon on Bertha. And here is how the story goes...
Last night, while sitting on the couch watching The Biggest Loser, they ran a 5k. And it got me thinking...these people weigh, as much as twice as me, and they were running this sucker. So, remember back in the day I was suppose to run a 5k? And then it never happened? Right! Well when I was leaving work today I thought, "Self, you should try to run a 5k tonight." I got home, changed clothes, took a work phone call..it's weird today we only got calls from 330 on, I mean I am there all day, just saying!...anywho, then hit Bertha. Had the door and windows open getting some fresh air, and watched Ellen, from yesterday. Now I didn't do a full 5k, I did 2.5 miles in 29 miles. This is about the longest time I have spent on Bertha, and it felt great. I choose not to finish, 1) because I haven't run in about a week and I would like to walk tomorrow and 2) I was REALLY hungry. Tomorrow I will give it another go! And no, I didn't run the whole thing, but when I was walking I jacked up the incline to keep my heart rate up. Gotta get miles in for this dang half marathon!
The End!!
Ok...until next time!

TV Fun House!
I haven't been doing all that great at keeping up with the blog right now. I would like to have a great excuse on my absence, but I got nothing this week...just lazy. We have kind of had a busy week at our house, but I still managed to get on Bertha this week. They weren't pretty runs, but they were still runs non the less.
Now to more important business, my recap of television! If you have not watched, you might want to stop reading!
The Biggest Loser: So this week the blue team was stuck in that "Kids" Room for 4.5 hours a day. Here is it folks...there was NO REASON that they should have been laying around and sleeping the whole time they were in there. They could have done jumping jacks and running in place, or something. I guess this is why they are on the show, but it was really sad to me to see that they didn't use their time wisely in that space, AT ALL. And I am super glad Bob did the last chance workout in there, to show them that they didn't need a gym to workout. Rant over! I was glad with the end results of who went home. The end!
American Idol: I just am having a REALLY hard time getting on board with Ms. Nicki Minaj. I think she is super fake, I feel as if she thinks she is top dog thinking she knows more about the industry then the other judges, I think she HAS to say something and get the last word in, I think she has to have ALL the attention on her. I just don't like her. I don't like that she randomly talks in a British Accent. Ugh!! I will agree that Mariah is a little diva too, HOWEVER, Mariah has been around a LONG time and has proven herself in the industry. Even if you don't like here, AMY, you have to admit she is better then Nicki. UGH! I mean I understand why she is there, to cause all the drama, but I have a hard time getting on board. OK, Rant over! I feel like this season they are letting some good talent leave before hollywood. But overall, there is some good talent and I am excited to see who makes it far. The End!
Bachelor: I watch, it's all the same, meh. The End.
So now, my blog about exercise has turned into a blog about watching TV. But I have been running, just nothing to exciting to post about.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Oh, Hello.
Well, I am back. I took a small hiatus for some personal reasons, and well since those efforts failed, I am back!!! To catch you up on what has happened in the small 2 months I haven't blogged: Added a new member to the family, her name is Bertha and she is our fabulous new treadmill, and now you are caught up. We had a wonderful Christmas and News Years, but nothing really all the exciting to report.
However, I did take the time this year to make some goals, and will get to them, but going to recap my 2012 in exercising, for my new readers just in case you forgot. Right after the wedding, I know usually it is before, I decided to get serious about getting back into shape. It wasn't acceptable anymore for me to keep gaining weight, it was my time to take control before the weight controlled me. So last year my goal was to run a 5k, and while I trained for it, I never signed up for a race, and then eventually my training slowed downed to almost nothing. We got Bertha at the beginning of December, which was great and we used her every morning, but then Christmas holiday came and it got REALLY cold, the cold where you don't want to leave your bed, so I didn't run. But now it is 2013 and have some goals to meet.
Here they are:
1) Eat Healthy: Now I get everyone says this, but I am going to elaborate on what this means to me. The hubs and I have a bad habit of going to the grocery store NOT enough times, and instead of going to the store, we just go out and grab something. It is hard to cook for 2 people and not have enough leftovers for 9 other people, so going out was much easier. This year, following the girls in the office advice, I have created a calendar that has the meals planned out Monday - Thursday. Friday is generally date night, and then the weekends are too hard to plan for because we never know what or where we will be. But if I can control 4 days of what we are eating, I am not only helping us eat healthy, but saving us money!

2) Run a half marathon: HOLY COW!!! This girl and I have made a pack to run a half marathon together. It is not going to be pretty and it isn't to "race" anyone but ourselves, but it is a goal that is attainable, but very challenging. I have already started "training" (Read: running on the treadmill for 15-20 mins so I can work back up to where I was), and we think we are going to run the one in November, so I have plenty of time to get back to where I was and then kill it. I have also been asked to run part of a relay for our Memorial Marathon, that is in April, so I know that will be a good gauge on where I am at.
3) Workout at least 3 times a week: There is no reason for not...the gym is less then a mile away. The end!
I know there are more than that, and I did write them down, but I don't have them in front of me. But I will add more when I remember. But these will get me started for now!
Hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year. Remember right now is the time to make 2013 something special!
Until next time...(I promise there will be a next time)

(Insert Clever Title)
Last night the CMAs were on, which I somewhat enjoy. After awhile I get tired of the "concert" feel and really are interested in the awards, I mean it is an award show. I was glad to have Miranda Lambert's Over You won!! What a lovely song, and then to learn the meaning was even more touching. I had to turn them off early due to the Thunder game, so don't anyone ruin the rest of the awards for me. JK I am sure I will find out soon enough on the internet.
What am I thankful for today:
2) I am thankful for my amazing family. Not only for my supportive parents andloser alright cool interesting brother, but for the extended family as well. It is pretty awesome to be part of such a tight knit family who does anything for anyone at anytime.
Exercise = None! I have been a mouth breather for a couple of days now, so exercising will just be a disaster. Hopefully I can kick this shit here soon, and get back outside. We have been having some awesome weather lately and I haven't been able to enjoy it, lame!
The End! Enjoy the day! Have a good weekend!

November the First
Since it is the beginning of November and all over Facebook people feel like they need to express what the are thankful for, I figured I would do it in my own way...by blogging! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, for several reasons, but mainly for the fact it is a time that we get to gather with our loved ones and give thanks for another great year and the pressure of gift giving isn't present. I think I might start, and see where it takes me, blogging about my gratitude's in life each day. I am going to try to make this in priority order, but I know I will mess it up. Not only will that give a small glimmer of who I am, but to get me back to blogging regularly.
So here we go...
1) I am so thankful for my belief in knowing there is a God. I know there are lots of people in the world that don't believe in a God or higher being, but I do. Sometimes I know I don't show it, or act like it, but truth be told I am not sure, sometimes, what that really means. I also don't need people judging me for what I do and tell me "I am not a Christian." This could go on awhile, so...I am thankful for my belief in knowing there is a God.
Working out...
Well, it's kinda been there. I ran on Sunday around the neighborhood. Not great but not terrible. Then Tuesday, I went and worked out with Lash and her co-worker/friend J. We did 30 minutes of Cardio, and then Lash and I peaced easy to get catch some dinner with another friend. Since then I haven't done anything. I haven't really felt good enough to do anything so I haven't. The End!
Sorry I don't have any rockin' pictures, but maybe one day!!

Well, hello world, how have you been?
A little Lady Antebellum to start off this LONG overdue post. (Your welcome for the great background music as you read my VERY ;o) entertaining blog!)
To start off, I am sorry. The past two weeks has been some time that I have need to self reflect on life decisions. I am not completely ready to announce to the blog world what these life decisions are, but I am sure I will some time.
As this blog is suppose to be all about exercising, lets get to it.
Its been a minute since this particular run happened, but I had a GREAT run a couple weeks back. Almost made it around the whole park without stopping, felt great! Then went home and rocked Jill. Well since then, I haven't really done much Jill and haven't really run much. Super slacker, but at the same time this weather we have been having is making my allergies be all kinds of out of whack and lasting way to long. I am ready for it to be cooler/fall weather. I am done with the 80's. It just makes me not want to run anymore in the heat. I know that in about 4 months I will be saying the complete opposite, but for real, yesterday was almost 90 at the end of October! So that was a little confession time.
BUT yesterday I did do some exercising....lil Martinez called me up to the big leagues. I went and played softball with her church team...SO MUCH FUN!!! Thanks Anna!!
Well, now that is all I got, and unfortunately I have been so preoccupied I haven't even really taken many pictures. I will work on my picture taking and exercising abilities over the next week days/weeks!
Until next time...
