(Insert Clever Title)

Last night the CMAs were on, which I somewhat enjoy.  After awhile I get tired of the "concert" feel and really are interested in the awards, I mean it is an award show.  I was glad to have Miranda Lambert's Over You won!!  What a lovely song, and then to learn the meaning was even more touching.  I had to turn them off early due to the Thunder game, so don't anyone ruin the rest of the awards for me.  JK I am sure I will find out soon enough on the internet.

What am I thankful for today:
2) I am thankful for my amazing family.  Not only for my supportive parents and loser alright cool interesting brother, but for the extended family as well.  It is pretty awesome to be part of such a tight knit family who does anything for anyone at anytime.

Exercise = None!  I have been a mouth breather for a couple of days now, so exercising will just be a disaster.  Hopefully I can kick this shit here soon, and get back outside.  We have been having some awesome weather lately and I haven't been able to enjoy it, lame!

The End!  Enjoy the day!  Have a good weekend!

November the First

Since it is the beginning of November and all over Facebook people feel like they need to express what the are thankful for, I figured I would do it in my own way...by blogging!  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, for several reasons, but mainly for the fact it is a time that we get to gather with our loved ones and give thanks for another great year and the pressure of  gift giving isn't present.  I think I might start, and see where it takes me, blogging about my gratitude's in life each day.  I am going to try to make this in priority order, but I know I will mess it up.  Not only will that give a small glimmer of who I am, but to get me back to blogging regularly.

So here we go...

1)  I am so thankful for my belief in knowing there is a God.  I know there are lots of people in the world that don't believe in a God or higher being, but I do.  Sometimes I know I don't show it, or act like it, but truth be told I am not sure, sometimes, what that really means.  I also don't need people judging me for what I do and tell me "I am not a Christian."  This could go on awhile, so...I am thankful for my belief in knowing there is a God.

Working out...

Well, it's kinda been there.  I ran on Sunday around the neighborhood.  Not great but not terrible.  Then Tuesday, I went and worked out with Lash and her co-worker/friend J.  We did 30 minutes of Cardio, and then Lash and I peaced easy to get catch some dinner with another friend.  Since then I haven't done anything.  I haven't really felt good enough to do anything so I haven't.  The End!

Sorry I don't have any rockin' pictures, but maybe one day!!

Well, hello world, how have you been?

A little Lady Antebellum to start off this LONG overdue post. (Your welcome for the great background music as you read my VERY ;o) entertaining blog!)

To start off, I am sorry.  The past two weeks has been some time that I have need to self reflect on life decisions.  I am not completely ready to announce to the blog world what these life decisions are, but I am sure I will some time.

As this blog is suppose to be all about exercising, lets get to it.

Its been a minute since this particular run happened, but I had a GREAT run a couple weeks back.  Almost made it around the whole park without stopping, felt great!  Then went home and rocked Jill.  Well since then, I haven't really done much Jill and haven't really run much.  Super slacker, but at the same time this weather we have been having is making my allergies be all kinds of out of whack and lasting way to long.  I am ready for it to be cooler/fall weather.  I am done with the 80's.  It just makes me not want to run anymore in the heat.  I know that in about 4 months I will be saying the complete opposite, but for real, yesterday was almost 90 at the end of October! So that was a little confession time.

BUT yesterday I did do some exercising....lil Martinez called me up to the big leagues.  I went and played softball with her church team...SO MUCH FUN!!!  Thanks Anna!!

Well, now that is all I got, and unfortunately I have been so preoccupied I haven't even really taken many pictures.  I will work on my picture taking and exercising abilities over the next week days/weeks!

Until next time...

Columbus Day

We Remember.....

Thank you Mr. Columbus for not making a big enough impact that I didn't get to stay in my bed this morning.  Happy Columbus Day, y'all!

It's bloody cold!

Surprise, Surprise I have slacked off at blogging.  Mainly because while vacation ruined my workouts, it also ruins my work life.  So this week was major catch up with two days being out of the office working!  Making the 3 days I was in the office super busy! Oh well!

I did, however, start Jillian Michaels' this week.  Only missing one day, Friday.  Learned I have to get up in the am to do it on Friday or it just isn't going to get done.  I have even done it in the freezing cold house this weekend.  After 5 days I have really begin to see the difference in how long it takes me to be completely dead  during each activity and my endurance is lasting longer!  Go Jillian!!

Which is brings me to the cold weather....I AM NOT MADE FOR THE COLD WEATHER!

Well, that is about all I have to blog about.  See why I haven't blogged all week?!?

Vacay Ruins Workouts.

I am back!  After a very bittersweet vacation, I am back into the real world.  Please believe that I am SUPER tired, but ready to get back into the swing of things.  But first, a few last pictures from my vacation.

Don't remember if I posted a picture of my platter I painted while up there.  This is pre-fireing so it is much darker then what it appears.

Might have stopped for another cupcake, after a run.

Then went Kayaking on the Puget Sound, this is where we dropped the kayaks in. This is also post cupcake!

Here is Mt. Rainier from the plane, about the only time we really saw it.

And finally the sunset in Phoenix reflecting off the wing of the plane.

Needless to say, vacation was awesome, but working out kinda lagged.  Now that I am back, I have kicked it into high gear, as I have a race not this Saturday, but next!

Monday (10/1):  NEW MONTH!!  I think back when this all started.  I have been blogging for about 3 months now AND working out for about 4.  It doesn't seem that long, but I can sure tell a difference.  I don't own a scale, so I haven't been able to track pounds lose, but that is ok.  I feel better, my husband tells me I look better, I am able to run longer (kinda :o) ), so I guess I will keep going.  Today after work I ran the park again...only WAY slower then last time.  It was a little upsetting that it took me so long, but then again I did something and haven't really run in almost 2 weeks.  Then I went home to do Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred.  Apparently I can lose 20 lbs in 30 days.  Totally not my goal, but getting a different workout in should help my body not stay the same.  It is a challenge for us work girls to do this video, however Martinez choose dancing over Jillian...WHATEVER.

That is really all I got.  Today is another run and Jillian day!  Hope I don't die!

Grand Canyon and Other Nature Things

I feel this is sorta becoming a habit that I am having a really hard time breaking, but once again my blog is late.  I think a lot of it has to do with very little exercise and a lot of family issues to attend too.  Let's get down to brass tacks....

Last week, I ran with the girls at the park, 2.8 miles.  It was so nice to finally run with these ladies and for us to get a chance to run together.  We are always discussing our workouts and current runs, running together we all get to blog about the same run!!  YAY US!

Friday (I am just going to be jumping days, get over it) I had to hop a plane to say a final farewell to a deeply loved family member, so I got to fly over the Grand Canyon...

We chilled and got some sleep for Saturday.  Saturday was full of emotions.  The first pics of the next sequence is of my bedroom window view and some things in the garden (GIANT SIZE veggies).

Sunday....we stopped at an art gallery, stopped at the farmer markets, stopped for cupcakes, then over to some family's for dinner.

Monday...Today we ventured to "Ruby Beach," except we never made it.  Whoops.  But we did make it to Ocean Shores, have a picnic on the beach followed by a stroll down the beach and finding sea creatures, and then we got lost on the way to Ruby Beach.  Here are some pictures from the Ocean today!

I totally thought I had more pictures from adventures of the day, but clearly I am lame...no I just was taking a lot with my big camera!

OHHH....I did go running this morning, but it was kinda lame.  Went just over a mile, and then had to come home. The roads are super banked here so it was really hurting my ankle to run on the angle, but I was informed to run on almost on the road to prevent that.  Plan on trying again tomorrow, but it is also REALLY cold when I run, like I can see my breathe but then I am sweating..it's totally odd feeling right now!

That is all I got right now, except how terrible this game is being called (pack/seahawk) game.  Will try to blog later this week.

Until then...

50 Wings!

It's been a hot minute since I last blogged.  And because of that, I am just going to skip those days.    I didn't exercise, or eat healthy, so no need to relive my shame.   Instead I would like to only blog about the productiveness of my weekend.   OK until next time...

Alright, it wasn't that unproductive, but pretty damn close.  Friday night I baked cookies at 830.  Saturday we were SUPER lazy, including an hour nap after only being up for like 3 hours.  Followed by some sitting, then sushi for dinner, and then back to sitting.  Sunday is were it finally gets real...

Sunday (9/16):  Got up and went to my parents house to get my bed and some other things from their house.  (For some reason they want me to get all my stuff out of their house, it's weird!)  After we burned some calories moving all that, we went to BWW and consumed almost 50 wings between 3 people...clearly the best option there was!  When we got home I started moving things around getting ready for the bed in the bedroom and doing laundry.  Finally around 430, I decided I should go and run.  So I headed to the park and set out a goal.  I was to go around the whole park, if you will remember this has been a BIG goal of mine to be able to run the whole park.  There was no time limit, and there was no have to run limit, it was simply run as far as you can, walk when needed and then run some more all the way around.  And I accomplished it.  I ran a little over 1.5 miles before walking a little bit, ran off and on for about .75 of a mile, and then ran the last bit.  Finished the 3.02 miles in 34:45 minutes at an average of 11:30 pace!  I was incredible proud of myself and now I have a baseline on what to improve my 3 mile time on!!!

I have a few random pictures (no blog would be complete without them)...

This is why I haven't blogged (my desk at work)...

We all know I LOVE ELLEN, especially when she has Sophie Grace and Rosie on....

This weekend was so deary that on our way back from sushi dinner I happen to catch the setting sun.  I was soo pretty with the broken clouds and it was pinkish/red and when I first noticed it downtown was in the forefront.  Well, I tried to get a picture with downtown in it, but no such luck.  But her is kinda the prettiness in the side mirror of "the car"

And now I am done blogging! Peace easy!

We Remember...

Let's just jump into the activities occurring in my so exciting life.  (I mean that is why you are here, right?)

Monday night...I give up! Oh yes...I finished those stupid abs I didn't do in the morning while watching Bachelor Pad Finale.  Way to go, Nick!

Tuesday (9/11):  Decided I was going to do my abs in the evening, which I did while watching some "new" episodes of The Big Bang Theory!  But more importantly, today wasn't about if I did my abs; today was about reflecting on the events that happened 11 years ago that rocked our Nation.  I find it truly amazing how I have a really hard time remembering what I did this weekend, but I remember EXACTLY what happened 11 years ago, and the same goes for the OKC bombing.  It is incredible sad that so many people, who just showed up for work or just got on an airplane, lost their lives for no reason.  My heart goes out to all those families who lost someone that day.  I sincerely hope that I never have to see that kind of hate again in my lifetime, and for generations to comes.  Also, I am very grateful for all the men and women who joined the military, because of the event, to fight for my freedom.  Thank you!

Wednesday (9/12):  The alarm was set for 6:20, snooze once, then the alarm off!  I really had to talk myself into getting out of bed, just in general.  So when my husbands alarm went off, I got up and decided what I was going to do.  I was to run to the tracks and back, REALLY close to a mile and half, maintaining a 10 minute pace.  I told myself, "self" (LOL Lash!) you can run or walk as long as you maintain a 10 minute pace.  I ran the first mile in just under 10 minutes and then decided to walk.  Once I got up to a 10:15 pace, I started running again, and got back to a 9:57 pace, and then walked up the hill, before sprinting home.  My final time was 14:45 for 1.45 miles at a 10:11 avg. pace.  In my honest opinion, I think I did pretty good.  I think right now I am going to try to focus on getting my miles faster and throwing in a long run on the weekends.  About those abs...I will do them tonight!

Last night, I was playing around on my phone and wanting to change my background picture.  This was a contender, but with all my apps it didn't look good, but I thought I would share with the world...

Don't worry that I was double fist-ing it on our wedding day!!

Until next time.

Ducks Fly Together

Well, we all know my lazy ass didn't get up to run Friday morning, nor did it get off the couch Friday night to make a run either.  I knew I would pay for this, but totally thought I could get a good run in on Saturday.  Friday night, dear hubby and I, rented "The Lorax" from OnDemand (at least I am 94% sure that is what we did) and just chilled for the evening.  I knew I had to get up early Saturday, so I trotted off to bed early.

Saturday (9/8):  Got up WAY to early for a Saturday, showered and left the house all before 8.  I find this a little amazing because during the week I am doing good to be out the house by 8.  But whatever.  Off to the gym I go...not to workout (secretly wish I was) but to ref 7th grade volleyball games.  WOW.  That is all I can say, I am sure I was at the same level at some point in my career, but WOW.  Good news, I only had to stand for 6 hours straight and climb up and down a ladder.  BUT...I didn't get to eat lunch that day, so my calories in vs. calories out, at this point in the day, are in favor of out, which means I am doing good.  I get home to find dear hubby and his best friends washing cars.  Remember our trip to Tulsa for a wedding, ya, we took my car and it was COVERED in dead bugs, and when I asked for them to wash it, mind you their cars weren't really dirty, they rolled their eyes at me.  So I washed my own car, they finally jumped in to help.  Now, I have been on my feet ALLLLLL day, and these two monsters want dinner now.  Thankfully, dear hubby helped me out, but I was pooped.  After consuming pan fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, and some corn, I found myself a spot on the couch and turned on D2: The Mighty Ducks, "Ducks fly together!"  I fell asleep on the couch at 830, missing ducks flying together, and walked my happy little butt to bed, where I proceed to sleep for 12 GLORIOUS hours! No running happening here.

Sunday (9/9):  My florist, from our wedding, who I am trying really hard to be her BFF, called and asked if I would help her out at a Bridal Show.  Of course I said yes, that's what a BFF would do!  She failed to mentioned how "fun" it was going to be, but I was on my feet again for another 5 hours.  But it was kinda interesting being on the other side of the wedding planning idea.  I have a couple of pictures from the Bridal Show, it was at the Oklahoma History Center, way cool place.  The florist had made some sample bouquets for the show, and she told me she was going to throw them away unless I saved them, and of course I did.  So there a picture of that.  And then, there was this vendor named "Apple Envy," they make what I thought was just covered apples, like a new take on carmel covered apples.  WRONG...they make carmel covered apples with extra frosting on them.  The one I got was orange cream...SO DELISH!!

Monday (9/10):  Welp, I figured I better get my ass up and run this morning since I hadn't in almost a week.  Knowing that today was going to suck, I just decided to run as much as I could.  So I ran about a mile and a half, walking probably the half part.  My ankles and feet were really hurting while running, in order to prevent injury I walked.  But I did something, better then sleeping in.  I also did most of my abs this morning, I will finish what I have left tonight.  Today is a struggle for me, I believe my body is finally reacting to the allergens that got brought in from the storms the other night.

Hopefully I don't fall asleep at my desk today...

Cookie Cake Sounds Delish!

Welp, another week in the bag, and another start to a too short weekend.

Wednesday night was epically uneventful, and I am going to chalk it up the season opener of the NFL.  We ate Taco Bell, because it is so healthy, followed by 3-4 hours of nothing but sitting on our asses.  I wasn't expending any extra calories!

Thursday (9/6):  The day starts like any other, now a day, with some abs.  Why do these abs suck so much?  Is it because they are the most ridiculous ab exercise that is out there? No.  Is it because it is 6:45 in the morning? Possibly, but hopefully after 10 weeks of morning exercising my body is used to it.  Is it because I am so out of shape?  I guess so.   There aren't that many, in quantity, that need to be done, but they sure do kick my ass.  And my friend, Amy, who is doing them with me, also agrees that they kick her butt too.  At least I am not the only one suffering!

This evening we cooked steaks (YUMMY) and vegetables (look at us being healthy).  And let me tell you, those suckers were DELISH!  Then we proceeded to do what we do best...sit!  Overall good evening.

Friday (9/7):  Not totally sure why I am so excited for it to be Friday, it's not like we had such a long week, but needless to say, I was pumped it was Friday.  That all might have to do with the potential of leaving work early today!

Oh ya, I am supposed to tell you about my workout...well, that the 30 minute run, just didn't happen.  I didn't sleep well, and didn't feel like doing it today.  There is nothing much to it besides that.  I did do my dreaded abs...and thought I was going to die during the burpees, and I guess so did Reese.  Every time I went to the ground, she got up and ran away, but then ran back.  She is special, sometimes!

So I am out of things to blog about, expect that I really want a cookie.  Like from City Bites.  My friend, Lash, was talking about how they were getting City Bites at work, and all I thought about were the Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl Cookies!  And then it really got my wheels turning and really this is what I want...

A double layer cookie cake!

And that is what I am leaving you on!

Hills are a bitch!

Good Morning y'all!  Let's get a few things out in the open...first, and clearly THE MOST IMPORTANT thing, Ellen is back on next week!!  It has been since May that I have seen a new episode, and I am pumped.  I felt she left me hanging and didn't tell me she was taking a summer break, so I have been pissed at her for a few months, but next week changes it all!  Next, Jillian Michaels is making her return back to fat people (The Biggest Loser).  I have missed her, and hopefully she won't leave us again.

Tuesday (9/4):  Rest day from running, but the abs are still going strong.  Unlike me, Amy went ahead and pinned the challenge, so I was able to go back and get it.  Here is what we are doing.

Join us (ANNA!) and get some "rock hard abs!" PS...they are kinda a bitch, but we will have great abs in the end (at least that is the goal).

We have finally started getting back into the swing of making dinner.  We got really thrown off when we went on vacation, but now we are back!  Naturally it was yummy, but even better was after we ate we were full, but not uncomfortable.  Last night on AGT,  the acts weren't as good as last weeks, but these cute dogs get me every time!!  They are so stinkin' cute!  The best part is that they are mostly rescued doggies!

Wednesday (9/5): 27 minute run!  As I heard the storms last night, I was secretly hoping that I would get to skip today's run because of the rain.  Not so much the case!  It wasn't raining when I got up, so I couldn't justify not running this morning.  I have determined, or realized, this morning that when I run on the main streets (there is a side walk, Mom), that is it nothing but hills.  And not just little baby hills, these hills I can't see what is on the other side, until I am on the other side.  They really kick my ass, and there is barely any breaks of flat land.  So I somewhat powered through.  I walked 3 times today. Once for 45 seconds, another for 1.5 minutes, and the last time was on the way back home climbing the hill, I was running so slow I just started power walking, but once I turned the corner to go home, I started running again.  Today Stats: 30 minutes (it took longer then I thought), 2.52 miles at a pace of 12:12.  Not to terrible, but not the best.  But I did it! I also reached another goal of mine.  I made it, not only to, but all the way around my new park!  This has been a goal for a few weeks to make it here.

Once I got back home, I went straight to the abs for the day.  WOW!  Killer today!  I am glad that I get all my workouts done in the morning though, that way I have the rest of the day to make good healthy choices and then I don't have to worry about getting sweaty and taking another shower (the real reason for morning workouts).

Not sure what else is going to happen today.  I could really use a nap now and it is only 10am, so I think it is going to be a long day. Poo.

Finish What You Start

This was my theme while running this morning, but I will get to that run on the "Monday" section.  I realized that today is Monday, and even though I am not at work I need to blog.  It has been some time.

Friday (8/31): Got home from work early, decided to get some laundry done, just in case I needed to leave, and then started in on my old lady project.  I made some pretty good head way, but nothing close to being done!  Damn!  Nothing to eventful.

Saturday (9/1): Ran to target in the AM to get a wedding card...nothing like buying last minute cards for a wedding in the evening.   Also, today started a new workout challenge for me.  As I am nearing the end of the couch to 5K program, I figured I would add something new.  So this is a month long ab challenge.  I am sure you have seen them on pinterest, as that's where I found it, but I forgot to pin it.  Amy is also doing this program with me, so it is nice having a partner in this madness.  As the previously stated, we went to a wedding in Tulsa.  It was a grand time, just wish the drive wasn't so boring.  Had a friend come up and tell me she reads my blog, Hey Mrs. Lux, it was great to know that more then just the JH's at work read it!  While we were driving to pick up one of dear hubby's friend, we had a free loader riding with us.  We named it Pat...

Sunday (9/2):  What a lazy day.  Since we drove back from Tulsa last night, and didn't get home until about 2, we just slept in!  It was really nice.  Went to the grocery store and then sat on our asses.  Later that night we decided to go and get a puzzle and eat junk food for dinner...sounded good at the time!  We got a Super Mario Brother's puzzle, golden oreo's, and fudge shop cookies, along with Anchorman and A Bee movie (we watched both).

ended up a great night!!

Monday (9/3):  Labor Day = sitting on our ass at home instead of the office.  Actually, we have been really productive today, so much that we aren't doing anything else today.  I got up at 8, thank goodness I didn't sleep until the alarm of 930, checked the weather, only 84, and got my ass out the door.  I was supposed to run on Sunday, and it just wasn't going to happen!  So I went to the park, which was FULL of walkers.  I get that walking is a great form of exercise and even more so these people were out and not at home...good for them, but DAMN learn how to share with a runner.  It is not ok to weave on the path as a walker, you make it hard for us runner's to pass you.  OR when you walk 2 across and see a running approaching someone who is walking to stay 2 across...share damnit!  Don't even get me started on the bikers....the path isn't big enough for bikers.  But now back to the actual workout.  Something I have never done, Ran from Reno to 15th.  It was kind of a big accomplishment as we used to run at the park but never ran all the way to 15th.   While finishing the run, I kept repeating to myself "finish what you started" I thought I was going to go over my "time" today and just wanted to finish the run of reno to 15th and back.  It is also my goal to run the whole park, 4 miles, and today I proved I can accomplish half of it now!  Got home, whipped my abs out, and then went outside.  At this point it is only 90 at 915, so we mowed, weed eated, and edged the yards.  It was really nice and cool and we wished we could have spent more time out there!  LIES!

Now we are sitting on our asses, going to go to an early dinner at Red Lobster, YUM, and then relax this evening.  Back to work tomorrow..boo!

Friday Free for All

Not sure what's up with the title, but that was the first thing that came to mind, whatever.

Yesterday at work was, WOW.  I think that is the best word to describe the shit show that was happening.  Martinez is quite the sassy pants, especially lately.  Amy and I have decided that her sassiness (new word) has increased due to her physically activity.  And her coffee drinking.  This scene from George of the Jungle is kind of what happens at work.  She is not super crazy like he was, but she starts to talk real fast and starts having jokes and being real snappy.  But, she caused us to have some great laughs, which worked out our stomach muscles...Thanks Martinez!

Last night, I might have watched Step Brothers again! It is too funny not to watch.  Then hubby and I watched this Modern Marvel's on SuperSized food...disgusting what people will eat, just because it is bigger.  Whatever.

My run this morning was an interesting one.  I decided to take a completely new path, that took me along the edge of reno and midwest blvd, before heading back into the neighborhood.  There is a hill that I had to climb that I thought would never end.  Damn, it was tough.  I was supposed to run 24 minutes today, I only completed 22.  There is a lot on my mind and runnning wasn't going to take it away.  As much as I tried to clear my head, I ended up praying more than clearing my head, and even almost broke down crying while running.  So I figured if I can make it home, however long I ran for would be better then laying in my bed.  I did almost complete 2 miles, and ran my fastest 1K today.  Again, might not have been the best run, but I also did run something!  Need to look at the positives instead of dwelling on the negatives.

Not sure what today will hold, but tomorrow we are headed to a wedding, and hopefully going to enjoy a quiet weekend after that.

Until next time!

So much room for activities!

One of my all time favorite movie "Step Brother's" is currently on, and I have managed to catch it from the beginning...which is always AWESOME!!!  My friend Lash totally understands!  P.S. If you are looking for great Christmas Card photos, she is your lady!! They will be amazing.  (I like how I am advertising to people I see everyday, but it helps!)

Last night at book club...it was a great time.  Nimzypoo has a awesome new "phone."  See the picture for proof!

That's right, it's like an old phone!!!

Today's workout was great!!  It was run 12, walk 5, run 12, walk 5.  The overall workout went very well.  Went 2.69 miles at a pace of 12:04.  I didn't finish the last 5 minute walk...did really think it was needed!

But since my movie is on, and they are about to build bunk bed to have so much more room for activities I am going to go watch!!

It's Rain, It's Pouring...

Well once again I failed to blog in a timely fashion and have damn near forgotten what I did.  But, thanks to technology, mainly my new watch, it maps where I have been and can help me remember what I did, plus I don’t have to remember to write it down because it is logged in my NikePlus account!

Thursday = no idea.  Oh yes, we discussed farting at work, while eating sugar free candy = bad idea!

Friday (8/24):  Early morning run, as usual.  20 minutes of pure running..just me and my thoughts for 20 full, long minutes.  This run started unlike the others…I ran up the hill going to opposite direction then I had the past few weeks, a change of scenery.  I was also going to see how long it took me to get to the tracks that I had been as a tracking device for awhile before I out grew them.  I was able to get there and past, at a pretty good rate, and tracked my fastest mile yet…10 minutes!!!  Still at an 11:41 pace, but still I am getting better…plus it was a great run!  I felt tired but it was overall really good!

Saturday (8/25):  Since it was supposed to rain, I wanted to get up early enough to get to the park and run.  An extra run!  But I got lazy, and went to Hobby Lobby to get yarn for my new project, and when I got back I didn’t really feel like running.  Thankfully I was talking to Lash, who just got done running, and she made me feel bad for not running and made me change and go to the park.  This run was almost total poo!  If it wasn’t for the fact that I was actually running and exercising, it would have been a waste.  I ran so slow…it took me 12 minutes to go a mile.  It was STUPID humid as it was about to rain, but still no excuse for how terrible it was.

Saturday night we went out and ate sushi with some friends and saw The Campaign with Will Ferrell.  Pretty funny movie, but what was really nice about the movie is that it was only an hour and half long.  It seems like years since a movie was that short, and it was a nice change of pace.  We got home just in time for it to start POURING!!!

Sunday (8/26):  Feel like a burn 121584651306465 calories.  We needed to clean the house, and I lost the coin toss to have to clean the bathroom…and if I was going to spend time cleaning, I was REALLY going to clean.  Took about an hour to clean our little bathroom, but it smelled good and looked so much better!  But then, I went and started working on “my room” again, actually measuring out where the bed needs to go and where the dressers need to be.  Also, picking things off the floor and putting them in there appropriate piles!

Sunday night was bueno..yum! And then I spent the rest of the evening finishing my book, because I have a book club meeting tonight.

Monday: (8/27):  20 minute run.  Since I had to go out in the field for work, I thought about getting up earlier to run in the morning, which is what I should have done.  But it “was to dark to run,” and I didn’t do it.  I packed my stuff and was going to stop at the park on the way home from work.  Totally “ran” from the office up to Reno…and then proceed to tank on the running.  Here are on sad stats…1.6 miles in 20:20 minutes at a 12:03 pace.  SHIT!  I am moving on.  6:15 will never be “too dark” to run.  And tomorrow I get another chance to prove myself!

Tuesday (8/28): No running…I think I am ok with that.  Tomorrow is my redemption day, and I don’t have to be in the field, so I will get up at my normal time and hit the pavement.   But tonight is BOOK CLUB!!! This is the first time that we have all read the same books and can actually discuss them without hiding things!  I can’t wait!!!

Sorry this was super long and probably super boring!  And no pics, whats up with that.  But until next time JH’s!

Results of my Awesome Toy

As we all know, I went out and spent some money into my running kick, and bought a new Nike GPS watch.  Today was the first day to use it, with my new running shoes.  So the results..

Wednesday (8/22):  18 minute Run, 5 minute walk.  First and foremost, I am starting to forego the 5 minute walk.  It seems kinda lame, but I do walk around the street until I feel I have got my breath and am not hyperventilating any more.  As I am setting out the front door, I start my watch...the old one said "walk" until it could pick up the sensor in the shoe, max 5 seconds.  This new one says "Linking" and damn it took like a minute to find the damn satellite.  Which only made me more antsy in my pantsy.  Took off set it to stopwatch mode so I can see how much time has elapsed. wouldn't want to do more work, or worse...not enough!  But it was big and bright.  The run itself was a little tiresome.  I was strangely REALLY hot and sweaty during the run, I quit checking the weather before I run, its just stupid, but when I got home...94% humidity.  NO WONDER I WAS DYING!  Shit!   I did have to walk a small amount of time, like 30 seconds. My new watch has some awesome features on Nike plus on how it tracks my runs...today I ran my fast 1 mile...10:07!!! But my overall pace still sucked!  This morning, I picked a new route.  And Almost made it to the new park!  I think I could have, but I wasn't sure...Friday I am GOING to make...I also have like 2 more minutes I have to fill with running!

Enough with the boring running! But that is about I all I have to blog about today!  Sorry this blog was extremely scattered brained!

Fun New Toys!

I don't really have anything productive to blog about.  But I do have some awesome pictures to share!!

First...This is my new workout toy!  Since I got new running shoes, and they weren't Nike's I had to get a watch that could track my distance and such fun things.  So I boned down and got one of these....

I will totally write my reviews about it tomorrow after I run in the morning.  It will also be nice to have a "true" distance since it links up to Tom Tom!!

My next picture...following with the theme of working out.  I saw this on pinterest today, and while the saying makes a lot of since, I just couldn't help but laugh really hard at the lady in the picture.

These next few pictures are just of life...The first of clearly our dog with most of her toys.  She had a hard time deciding which toy she wants to play with!  The next one is a picture while we were driving "the car" to get the new watch, and it is of downtown in the way back, but you can see the shadow of the car!!

Ok...tomorrow will be back to regular blogging about things that are important.  Like what is happening in Fifty Shades!  Or how my run went in the morning!!  18 minutes!

Super Monday Run!

A little unlike me, but I am going to blog this morning, pretty close to finishing my run,  which was AWESOME this morning.

Monday (8/20): Last night I went to bed with a RAGING headache and my stomach was all in knots, and I was hoping that I was going to be able to get up in the morning to run.  So the alarm went off, and I had to get out of the house or I was not going to go.  Run 17 minutes.  Normally, I have been going down to the track and running, but I realized yesterday in the park, I seem to go better if I am not running in circles.  So I went down the street with no path in mind and when I felt like it I turned, and when I felt like it again I turned.  I did this for the whole run, and the best part was the time actually went by what seemed faster.  I wasn't wanting to quit as early on in the run, I wasn't going at a snails pace, I was keeping my form better and not dragging my feet, I also had some great elevation changes, something I haven't seen in a while.  But I felt accomplished to run this 17 minutes and to not feel like dying.  Still considered at a 11:56 pace, but I have to keep in my that at the end of these runs I also walk for 5 or so minutes, which kills my pace time.

Needless to say, it was a great morning and I have been in a great mood since.

Side note:  I saw this quote on Pinterest and it makes a lot of sense.  I have viewed this is whole journey that I am on to become healthy again.  It doesn't happen over night and there are no miracle drugs to snap me out of this, I have to do it myself and have to put in the time and make myself go.  It might be slow to change my body, but it is a lifestyle change....

Fit is not a destination.  It is a way of life.

Moving up!

Once again, I am behind.  But on a positive note, I have accomplished a lot since I have last blogged.  So lets get started!

Friday (8/17):  Run 16m, Walk 5m.  Made it down to the track at the school to find a kid sitting on one of the benches..oh ya, it was the first day of school.  As I was leaving the track, the neighborhood dogs had little people to bark at again.  So I had lots of noise to keep me going.  But for real...this run as a really good one!  It felt great..well afterwards. I do feel like I am going to die while doing it, but afterwards I am on a high.  I remember that it was cool that morning, where I was almost cold before I left!!

This evening was a little uneventful...because it was so nice we went for a ride in "the car" to Target! WAHOO!  But dear husband and I did have fun at home...

And then I found an old friend... (Didn't eat all of it and still actually have some AND I have eaten twice out of it.  Normally I eat it twice and it is gone!!)

Saturday (8/18):  Today was HUNGER GAME day!!  But first, it had to RAIN!!!  I got up early and headed over to my parents to finally go through my stuff that is over and get it out of there house.  When I got there it looked like this....

Not pleasant, but I got to park Marge in the garage and then it didn't do much, in the way of hail or anything like that.  This is what I got to take home today....

Love it!!! It has a mirror that goes on top of it,but it didn't make the trip home.  And when I got home....(drum roll please)

OMG!!! It was sooo good!  "But that's not how she got her pin"  That's about all I have to say about it.  I also don't want to give to much away for those who haven't seen it.

Sunday (8/19): Run 17m, Walk 5m. Decided to go to the park and run at a new location, plus it was sooo nice outside. When I was going to go this morning, it was like 84% humidity and I was sweating after taking the doggie to potty.  But went to the park around 330, and wore a t-shirt.  And it was perfect.  I ran a mile in 10:something, I don't remember, but was just excited that I could do that.  But then the remaining 7m was a little unsatisfying. I got over half a mile, but I feel like that shouldn't really be acceptable. However I am staying positive.  Race for the Cure is coming up October 27th, so I still have time to improve.  Plus my friend who is really inspiring me to run, told me today she would run with me, even if it was at a 10 minute pace.  That means a lot...she doesn't have to run that slow with me, but it also pushes me to try to get to her pace.  Thanks for all your support Lash!!! I am really excited to be able to run with you, and hopefully RFTC won't be the last time we run together!!!

Not to much going on this week.  Hoping to get back to the gym, but it depends on dear hubby!  Until next time!!

Dance Magic Dance.

Sorry for my absences.  For two reasons I haven't blogged.  One being that I have been EXTREMELY busy at work...so lame, but the other reason is because my last run was not a good one and I didn't want to blog about it.  But here goes.

Wednesday (8/15): It was 8m R, 5m W, 8m R, 5m W.  Totally thought this was going to awesome because I got that break in between, but what it really proved was to be epically sucky!  Normally 8 minutes is a milestone in the running to be over half way done, however once I got to the 8 minutes to walk, I felt like I was done, and it was SOOOO difficult to start again.  But I did, however I had to stop and walk about a minute.  It was terrible.  I felt so ashamed. But I am here to be honest with myself, and of course, my awesome readers, and that is what I am doing!

Thursday (8/16):  Today...super long day at the office.  No chance of working out...however I do have a few pictures to show.

First these!  My grandma, who I never met, left bracelets for me.  My mom wore them all my life "keeping them safe."  She gave them to me the day after our wedding, and like a little pain in the ass, I just couldn't accept them.  It wasn't my time.  So she was keeping them for me.  However, when life took a turn, the bracelets went with the turn.  While their value is very little, the attachment I had to them was about the only thing I had to my grandma.  So I was devastated to say the least.  Dear Hubby saw how upset I was that they were taken from me, that he tried to "replace" them.  Something similar.  And these are what he got me.  They are kind of close to what the others one looked like, however it means a lot that he would go through the terrible of trying to find similar ones.  I think he might be a keeper.

Had a terrible time getting home from my father-in-laws, but I had a chance to see downtown for what it is worth.  Nothing to major!

This one should be self explanatory, it was on tv tonight.....

I believe that is a good place to end this blog!!!

Monday Monday!

Look at me! Getting back to the blogging routine, just like the running & workout routine. This is kind of a short blog, pretty much know that I will probably not going to make it to the gym tonight per our management duties.

So this morning I HAD to be at the office at 7:45, but I needed to get in there earlier to attend to those previously mentioned management duties.  I got up at 6, and looked outside...it was still too dark for my comfort on running, I slept til 6:15, and then headed out the door.  Down the road to the track and back out.  15 min run and a 5 min walk.  Today I realized I need to start doing something on the weekend or Mondays are just going to suck!  Pretty much like today.  I wanted to quit several times, and even tried to talk myself into it, but then I starting saying to myself "self, it is not acceptable to stop." (Hope you got a good laugh, LAsh!)  Made it home with a minute left to walk, but because I was on a time crush I didn't seem to mind.  Today was a 11:50 pace, which really surprised the hell out of me, but was also excited to that even when I think I am having a bad day, I am still improving!

I think I am going to be done blogging for the day.  "And that's all I have to say about that."  Tell next time!
